It is possible that Artscape is responsible for changing the filter in your heating and air conditioning unit, but they didn't respond to me, and I don't think I want to organize them to do this every three months. I would also like to install high quality filters in my unit to give us some cleaner air to breathe.
Replacing the filter is pretty easy, I made short a video to help show how it's done, you can find the video below.
A few tips:
Make sure the air flow arrows are pointing the right way when you install your filter, that will ensure the filter works properly in trapping the debris.
There is a "Merv" rating system for filters, the higher the merv rating, the better the filtration will be.
When looking for a new filter just find any furnace filter from a hardware store or online retailer that will fit. Width is important and thickness is important to match, if you get one that is too tall I don't think it matters much. Get the filter with the highest merv rating you can afford.
